1. My skin is sensitive, can I use Asili products?
Asili products are made with 99% all-natural ingredients. We use the finest butters, oils and essential oils. For example, shea butter has been used in Africa for centuries to heal dry skin conditions, sunburn, stretch marks and hyperpigmentation. Asili products contain no alcohols, sulfates, lanolin or mineral oil, as these products can irritate sensitive skin.

2. My child has nut allergies, can he/she use your body butter?
If your child has nut allergies, please place your order as a special order and I will formulate their body butter without the use of ingredients derived from nuts (i.e, sweet almond oil, shea butter).

3. What is the difference between brown suga' scrub and sea salt scrub?
Brown Suga'Scrub is gentler on the skin, which can be beneficial if you have sensitive skin or would like to use this scrub after shaving. It is an excellent choice for an all-natural exfoliant for removing unwanted cellular debris. Your skin will look radiant and feel as soft as the bottom of a baby's behind! Sea Salt Scrub is an alternative to Brown Suga' Scrub. Salt scrubs improve circulation, smooths away dry skin and helps to draw toxins from the skin and soothes sore muscles. Sea Salt Scrub also leaves your skin looking and feeling radiant.
**TIP** Do Not use Sea Salt Scrub after shaving, or it will sting your
skin, OUCH!

4. Why doesn't your body wash foam like the shower get I got at the mall?
Asili uses the most natural ingredients on the market. The main ingredient in our body wash is Castile Soap. Castille Soap does not foam like most shower gels because it does not contain any detergent cleansing agents. Most commercial shower gel, bubble bath, toothpaste, baby wash & baby wipes contain an inexpensive detergent called Sodium Lauryl Sulfate or Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLS). They use SLS because
it's cheap and it foams a lot. In the cleansing industry SLS is used in garage floor cleaners, engine degreasers, car wash soaps, etc. It is probably the most dangerous ingredient used in skin and hair-care products. SLS is potentially harmful to skin and hair. It dries skin by stripping the protective lipids from the surface so it can't effectively regulate moisture. Castile soap is free of alcohol, detergents and harsh chemicals, it is olive oil based and very mild on skin.

**TIP** When using Asili body wash use a shower mit or a shower pouf,
it produces a great lather!

5. What is the difference between fragrance oils and essential oils?
Fragrance oils are man-made oils formulated in a lab by blending natural & synthetic ingredients to obtain an aroma otherwise unavailable. Essential oils are pure plant oils that are obtained directly from a plants leaves, root or flower throughout steam distillation or some other form of extraction. Unlike fragrance oils, the fragrance from essential oils will gradually dissipate once the fragrance is exposed to air. In addition, essential oils are used more for aromatherapy and therapeutic applications such as to purify, invigorate, uplift and disinfect

6. My child has eczema, what products do you recommend?
First, we recommend our castile soap based body wash since it helps moisturize dry skin. Secondly, we recommend our body butter that is formulated with Cocoa and Shea butters. Shea butter has been used for centuries to help eliminate dry skin conditions such as excema, in addition to stretch marks, hyperpigmentation, acne scars and sunburn. Lastly, for baths we recommend our milk bath, which contains dry buttermilk, and ground oatmeal. Buttermilk is an all-natural exfoliant and moisturizer while ground oatmeal helps soothe dry, itchy skin.

7. I ran out of my body butter, can I use foot butter on my belly if I'm pregnant?
The foot butter should only be used on your feet. Foot butter contains essential oils such as: Peppermint & Eucalyptus that can be dangerous to the fetus, especially in the first trimester. Ask us about our Belly Butter for mothers-to-be.
